About The Role:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating innovative and engaging learning solutions in support of a variety of Agero programs and business initiatives. In partnership with business leaders, LD colleagues, and subject matter experts you will design sound, engaging, blended learning solutions to be delivered in a variety of modalities (eLearning, self-study, instructor-led, gamification, etc). You will integrate assessment checkpoints and utilize a continuous improvement process to drive for excellence. The role has significant interface with many levels of the organization and must be able to build and maintain strong business relationships.
There are three main components of this position:
  • Strong understanding of Instructional Design principles and experiences following those principles when designing, implementing and iterating on programs and curricula
  • Creating and implementing engaging learning curricula through a variety of learning technologies and methodologies to continuously improve learning, comprehension and performance
  • Strong project and time management skills. This position is responsible for a variety of programs with multiple deadlines and milestones and strong project management skills are needed to stay on track and be successful
Key Outcomes:
  • Develop a cohesive, relevant curriculum by partnering with organization leaders
  • Analyzes client source content, target audience demographics, job tasks, and learner environment to identify learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies
  • Create design documents to specify performance or behavioral objectives, sequencing of instruction, course content, source materials, and instructional strategies based on needs analysis and target audience
  • Utilize a broad range of interactive, creative and intuitive instructional methods, including but not limited to simulations, games, hands-on activities, interactive case studies, role-plays, and assessments
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to conduct needs analysis and develop learning objectives for all programs
  • Make training recommendations consistent with established development time frames
  • Design and develop learning materials such as Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Presentations, Quick Reference Guides, Job Aids, and eLearning Modules
  • Develop various measurement tools/resources such as; questionnaires, assessments and knowledge checks to determine if learning objectives are being met
  • Provide support materials to guide the implementation of programs and delivers Train the Trainer sessions with facilitators to ensure accurate delivery of the program
  • Identify opportunities to effectively integrate learning within the flow of work which results in positive and measurable business impacts
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities :
Education: College Degree. Formal training in Instructional Design, job aid design, adult learning theory, delivery systems and evaluation techniques is a plus.
Experience: 5 years of experience designing and developing adult learning programs. Proven experience working in or supporting a dynamic high volume service or technology organization where flexibility is a core skill. Strong experience project managing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs and initiatives. Experience using e-learning and distance learning tools required.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated technical writing skills. Proficient in the use of Google Suite of Products and either Articulate or Captivate eLearning software. Creative ability and visual graphics design ability.

  • This is a Hybrid role with an on-site expectation of 3 days per week
